Terrible monitor September 8, 2010 Laura K. Schott (Fresno, CA) I got a great deal on this monitor and the reviews seemed quite positive so I ordered it as a second monitor, since we already have the Angelcare Deluxe. I can't explain how terrible this monitor is. There is no sensitivity setting so all night long it would turn "on" at the slightest noise, not even made by my daughter! It also kept beeping as out of range, even though our room is right next to our daughters. We got this monitor as our daughter is older, so we figured we didn't need the movement sensor on the Angelcare and would instead use that one with our newborn. Now we realize that the Angelcare has such great sensitivity settings and ONLY turns on at the appropriate times so we will be buying another one and just not use the movement sensor for her. Lesson learned!
Skip it September 3, 2010 lklomicka I bought this monitor because it was so highly rated in the stores, but I wish I had checked Amazon first. It clicks or beeps constantly. If you have any wireless equipment in your house it will interfere with the connection. The clicking during the middle of the night wakes me up and keeps me up. You can turn it down, but that defeats the purpose of having a monitor in the first place!
love this thing August 30, 2010 K. Murdock awesome!! works great - never had a single problem and puts my mind at ease!
don't buy this monitor August 27, 2010 dave Bought this to back up my philips monitor which doesn't charge, this is terrible. It has no range, crackles and beeps like a walkie talkie in a perfectly quiet environment. I have resorted to replacing the batteries every day in my philips rather than use this item. When I say no range I live in an open plan home with 1 door between monitor and sender a distance of 15 yards, and that is too much for it.
A Great Product August 20, 2010 Daniel V. Berry (Merritt Island, Fl) This is the second baby monitor I have purchsed to watch over my grandson as he sleeps. The first was a Fisher Price one (junk as it didn't even last a year). I love this one for its simplicity, yet its features as well. First, it stays silent while it is on. The Fisher Price had a wall of static noise when it was turned on. This one only activates with noise. It also has the lights that indicate sound coming in and it has numerous frequencies to choose from. I would say, for the price, you cannot go wrong with this product.
