Summer stands behind their product!! August 16, 2010 Delighted Shopper (Jacksonville, FL) I love this little monitor. It is very easy to use and very clear to see my son. I had a product issue and contacted Summer's customer service. They were very helpful and patient with me. I would recommend this product to a friend.
Not impressed! August 13, 2010 TK I tried this unit out for about 2 weeks. The video quality is pretty good including the black and white night vision. But the screen is small and the color capabilities are not very good. The audio sensitivity was VERY good, it can pick up the tiniest sound across the room and the volume was decent.
The temperature reading was about 10 degrees high and also constantly fluctuates +/- 2 degrees. I noticed the camera unit gets warm (and that's where the thermometer is) so that might contribute to the bad readings.
The battery took 20+ hours to charge, and then as soon as it was taken off of the charger the battery indicator dropped instantly. It only lasted 4-5 hours unplugged. It's possible my unit had a bad battery.
I ended up returning this and buying another Summer Infant model. For about $20 more you can have a lithium ion battery and a bigger and better color screen (but no temperature reading) - I'm much happier.
Not worth it... August 13, 2010 L. Fraser I wouldn't recommend buying this monitor. The description says it "pans/scans/zooms" and that the screen is 2.4in, but it's wrong. The screen is 1.7in and it doesn't zoom. Also the temperature reading is off and the picture quality isn't good. I am going to return it.
Awesome Video Monitor July 20, 2010 applerocks1030 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Monitor was easy to setup and had no problems with interference in the house. Also, called to order an extra camera and customer service was fantastic!!
Can't buy a second monitor June 4, 2010 Ehren Paul Olson (Washington, DC) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This monitor provides good sound and video. The color isn't great during the day ( still looks mostly black and white to me) but the night vision is very clear and that is what you really need. The temp is not exact but it is good enough to tell you if your child needs a blanket put on or removed and that is worth the extra cost to me. What is really frustrating to me is the fact that I can't find an extra monitor for the second room anywhere. Not even on summer's website! What is the point of having two channels if you can't buy an extra monitor?
